In short
We list residency and fellowship positions that programs publish publicly. We are not the employer and have no part in hiring, so always confirm a position with the program itself. Browsing is free; a subscription unlocks the full posting, contact details and application link, renews each month or every 3 months, as chosen at checkout, and can be cancelled any time. Programs post vacancies free, and each is read by a person first. The swap board is free and introduces two residents only when both agree; the swap itself is theirs and their programs’ to arrange. Do not scrape the site, share your account, or resell what a subscription unlocks.
This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the agreement.
1. Who we are and what this covers
ResidencySpot ("we", "us") is an independent service based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We run residencyspot.com, a listing service for open physician residency and fellowship positions at US teaching hospitals. These Terms form a contract between you and ResidencySpot.
By using the site or subscribing, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
2. What the service is, and what it is not
We collect positions that institutions and medical societies publish on their own public career sites and vacancy boards, and positions that programs post with us directly, and present them in one place with a specialty, PGY level, location and posting date. We also run a swap board, where residents and fellows who would trade places can find each other.
This matters, so it is stated plainly: we are a listing service, not an employer, recruiter, agent or placement agency. We do not offer positions, decide who is hired, or have any role in an application.
Programs and employers do not pay us. We do not sell advertising, sponsored listings or listing placement, and no one can pay to have a position shown, promoted or removed. Only candidates pay, and what they pay for is the search tools, full position details and alerts described on our pricing page.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ACGME, NRMP, ERAS, AAMC, any specialty board or society, or any institution whose positions appear here.
- A listing is a copy of what a program published, or what a program posted with us. Availability, eligibility, visa sponsorship, salary and every other term are decided by the program, not by us.
- Always confirm a position directly with the program before relying on it. A position can be filled or withdrawn before we next check its source.
3. Your account
Signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email address; there is no password to choose or protect. Anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you, so keep your email account secure.
An account is for one person. Do not share your account, your sign-in links, or the gated content they unlock. We may suspend an account that appears to be shared or resold.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
4. Subscriptions, billing and price changes
Browsing positions is free. A subscription unlocks the full posting text, the program's contact details and the application link, and enables alerts.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, the Merchant of Record for all our orders. The legal seller named on your receipt is Lemon Squeezy LLC, which takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT and issues the invoice. Your card details go to Lemon Squeezy and are never sent to or stored by us. Lemon Squeezy’s buyer terms also apply to the payment itself.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation and refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to your renewal.
5. Acceptable use
A subscription is for your own job search. In using the site you agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically copy listings or gated content, by any automated means;
- republish, resell, or redistribute gated content, including the contact details and application links a subscription unlocks;
- share an account or credentials with anyone else;
- use contact details obtained here to send unsolicited bulk email or marketing to programs;
- attempt to bypass the paywall, authentication, or any rate limit; or
- interfere with the site's operation or security.
6. Posting a vacancy
A program, or someone acting for one, may post an open residency or fellowship position with us at no charge. By posting, you confirm that the position is real and open, that what you say about it is accurate, and that you may post it for the program.
A person reads each posting before it is listed. We may decline or remove a posting, for instance where we cannot tell that it is a physician training position, where it repeats a listing we already carry, or where the program asks us to. We do not rewrite what you post.
A listed posting is shown as every other vacancy here is. Its specialty, program year, institution, location, start date and the opening lines of its description are public. The full description and the contact details you give are shown to signed-in subscribers. You give us permission to show the posting on the site, in alerts to our users and in our own social posts for as long as it is listed.
A posting is listed for 60 days, and for a further 60 each time you confirm that the position is still open. When the position closes, mark it filled or withdraw it.
- Post only physician residency and fellowship training positions. Attending, locum, nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant and research-only posts are not listed.
- Do not post a position that is being filled through the NRMP Match or SOAP while Match Week is under way.
- Do not post a program's general recruitment page as a vacancy. Post when a particular place is open.
- Do not post anything false, misleading or unlawful, or another person's contact details without their knowledge.
7. The swap board
The swap board lets a resident or fellow who holds a training position say that they would trade it, and introduces two of them when both agree. It is free and needs an account.
We introduce; we do not arrange. A swap is a transfer out of one program and into another, and it is decided entirely by the two residents and the two programs concerned. We do not promise that a match exists, that another resident's listing is accurate, or that either program will agree. Check your own contract, your Match commitment, and your visa and funding position before you agree to anything.
A listing shows your specialty, program year and state, and your city if you give it. It does not show your name, your email address or your program. When you accept an introduction, or another resident accepts yours, each of you is sent the other's account email address and, where it was given, their program's name. What you share after that is between the two of you.
- List only a position you hold.
- Keep names, contact details and anything that identifies another person out of a listing or a note.
- Use an introduction to discuss a swap, and for nothing else.
- Do not offer, ask for or accept payment for a swap.
- We may remove a listing, or close an account, that breaks these rules.
8. Accuracy, and the limits of it
Listings are gathered automatically from third-party sites, or posted by programs and read by us before they are listed. We classify, de-duplicate and date them, and we mark a position removed once it disappears from its source or its program closes it. Despite that, listings may be incomplete, out of date, mis-classified or wrong.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that listings are accurate or current, that a listed position exists or remains open, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost opportunities, lost applications, lost income, or missed deadlines arising from your use of the site.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Intellectual property
The site, its design, its software and our compilation of listings are ours and are protected by copyright and other rights. Position text originates with the institutions that published it and remains theirs.
If you run a program and want a listing corrected or taken down, we act on that promptly and you do not need to give a reason.
- Removal and correction requests: support@residencyspot.com, or use our contact form.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time from your dashboard.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, and will refund any unused paid period where we do so for reasons other than a serious breach such as sharing or reselling access.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand, and it will not apply retroactively. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the country in which you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Nothing here removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer law that applies to you.
Almost every dispute is settled faster by email than by anything else, so please write to us first at support@residencyspot.com and give us a fair chance to put it right. If your complaint is about a payment, Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and can also be approached directly.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms go to support@residencyspot.com. ResidencySpot, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
