In short
Sign in, open Dashboard → Account and choose Delete account. Your email, saved searches, saved positions, alert settings and sessions are erased straight away, and any subscription is cancelled first. Can't sign in? Email support@residencyspot.com from your account's address and we'll delete it for you.
This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the agreement.
1. Delete your account yourself
You can delete everything at any time, without contacting us:
- Sign in with the email link or with Google.
- Open Dashboard → Account.
- Under Delete account, choose Delete, type delete to confirm, and submit.
2. What is deleted
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It removes:
- Your account and email address.
- The link to your Google account, if you signed in with Google.
- Your saved searches, saved positions and alert preferences.
- Your swap listing, and every proposal and introduction that named it. A resident you were already introduced to keeps the email they were sent.
- The vacancies you posted for a program, with your name and role. Their listings are taken down.
- Your sessions and any unused sign-in links, so every device is signed out.
- Your Telegram connection, so alerts stop reaching that chat.
- Your notification history. The record that an alert was sent is kept without anything that identifies you.
3. Subscriptions and billing records
If you have a subscription, it is cancelled with Lemon Squeezy first, so nothing more can be charged, and only then is your account deleted.
Invoices and payment records are kept by Lemon Squeezy LLC, our merchant of record, because tax law requires it. We never hold your card details. To ask Lemon Squeezy about the records it keeps, use the link in any receipt email or app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders.
4. If you can't sign in
Email support@residencyspot.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my data”. We confirm the request came from that address, delete the account within 30 days (usually within two business days), and reply to confirm it is done.
5. Facebook, Instagram and Google
ResidencySpot does not offer Facebook Login and receives no personal data from your Facebook or Instagram account. Our Facebook Page and Instagram account only publish announcements of open positions. Anything you post on them, such as comments, is held by Meta, and you can delete it there.
If you signed in with Google, deleting your account removes the link on our side. You can also remove ResidencySpot’s access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
6. Backups
Our database keeps point-in-time recovery for 30 days, for disaster recovery only. Deleted data ages out of it within 30 days and is never restored into the live service.
