About the program

Thank you for your interest in our Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship. The University of Mississippi Medical Center serves as the only Level One trauma center in the state of Mississippi, and we therefore have a very high volume of both blunt (~70%) and penetrating trauma (~30%). In addition to this, we are the main referral center for the majority of the sequelae of trauma, including malunion, nonunion, and infections.

  1. Find the application route

Fellowships recruit through ERAS, a specialty match such as the SF Match, or directly with the program. The program's page gives its route, deadlines and the number of places.

  2. Check eligibility first

Look for the program's visa policy, licensing and exam requirements (USMLE or COMLEX), any limit on years since graduation, and for a fellowship, the training it expects you to have completed.
