The General Surgery Residency Program at Trinity Health Oakland first received Residency Review Committee approval in 1953. Since that time, the program has offered a fully accredited 5-year program that is designed to exceed the ACGME/RRC for Surgery requirements and prepare graduates for the American Board of Surgery examination.
