About the program
The start of Adolescent Medicine as a subspecialty at the U-M Medical School was in 1990 when Dr. David Rosen joined the faculty. Over his 23 years here, he established the culture of empathetic and holistic care for teens and young adults that is the foundation of our mission. Adolescent Medicine became a separate division in the Department of Pediatrics in 2015, and our fellowship program started in 2019.
