ResidencySpotBot

ResidencySpotBot is the crawler behind ResidencySpot. It checks public career sites of teaching hospitals and medical societies for open residency and fellowship positions, so applicants can find off-cycle openings quickly.

How it behaves

• It identifies itself with the user agent ResidencySpotBot/1.0 (+https://residencyspot.com/bot) and does not impersonate a browser.
• It reads only publicly posted job listings and waits at least two seconds between requests to a site.
• It does not attempt to solve CAPTCHAs or get around bot protection; a challenged site is backed off.
• It only collects physician residency and fellowship postings, not other jobs.
